Because knowing what it should look like isn't the same as knowing how to get there.

LBB Education

where my work started

Wait, why did they section it that way? Why isn't my foundation holding? How did they get that fullness? And why does mine look nothing like the one I just watched them create?

It's easy to follow along when someone else is doing the styling. It's a whole different thing to understand what's happening well enough to recreate it yourself.

That's where LBB Education comes in.

I don't want you leaving a class with a notebook full of steps you have to memorize. I want you to understand the why behind the style: why we're sectioning a certain way, how we're building the foundation, what makes the shape work, and how to troubleshoot when things don't go according to plan.

Because once you understand the techniques behind the hairstyle, you're no longer just copying someone else's hands. You're learning to trust your own.

Whether you're trying to nail one stubborn style or finding your footing in the world of bridal hair, you deserve education that meets you where you are, gives you room to practice, and helps you figure things out without feeling like you have to do it all alone.

Think of me as the big sister you wish you had when you started: here to share what I've learned, help you work through the tricky parts, and remind you that you don't have to know it all to get better at this.

Let's get you from watching the style to understanding it.

You've taken the classes. You've watched the demonstrations. You've left feeling inspired, ready to recreate that beautiful, effortless-looking bridal hairstyle.

Then you get home, set up your mannequin, and suddenly you're stuck.

"Best teacher ever! Lisa is so patient, thorough and amazingly talented. From start to finish, she’s very detailed and really takes her time with every single step. She’s willing to go over the same thing time and time again until I completely understood! She’s very well versed in all styles and overall I feel so much more confident after learning from her!"

Come with the questions you've been afraid to ask, the technique that keeps tripping you up, or the style you've been wanting to nail down. There's room to work through it here.

You don't have to figure it all out on your own. Let's get it to click.

What we'll work on
Your session is built around one hairstyle or specific technique of your choice, with the time and attention to really dig into the details.

Together, we'll focus on:
Your goals: Identify the style, technique, or sticking point you want to work through.
The why behind the technique: Understand the sectioning, foundation, product choices, shape, and placement that help make the style work.
Hands-on practice: Work through the style with personalized guidance and feedback along the way.
Troubleshooting: Learn how to recognize what's not working, why it's happening, and how to adjust your approach.
Taking it with you: Leave with a clearer understanding of the technique and what to focus on when you practice independently.

This session might not be the right fit if…

- You're brand-new to hairstyling and need to learn the fundamentals from scratch.

- You want to cover several different hairstyles in one session.

- You're looking for a class where you simply watch me create a finished look without practicing the techniques yourself.

This session is for you if…

- You have experience with formal or bridal hairstyling but struggle with a particular style or technique.

- You've taken classes or watched tutorials but have trouble recreating the results on your own.

- You want personalized feedback on your technique, rather than another demonstration to watch.

- You're ready to troubleshoot the little things that are keeping your work from looking the way you want it to.

- You want to feel more confident offering a particular look to your clients.

One style. A deeper understanding.

You know that one hairstyle you can never seem to get quite right? Maybe you've watched the tutorials, tried to recreate it on your mannequin, and still can't figure out why yours isn't turning out the way you imagined. Let's work through it together.

The Signature Session is a personalized, hands-on training experience for the stylist who already has a foundation in hairstyling but wants to refine a specific look or technique. We'll focus on the details that make the difference, from sectioning and foundation to shape, texture, and placement so you can stop guessing your way through the style and start understanding how to create it.

This isn't about memorizing someone else's steps. It's about understanding the technique well enough to make it your own.

Come with the two styles you've been wanting to nail down, the questions you've been carrying around, and an open mind. We'll work through the details together, at your pace, with room to ask questions and figure out what works.

You don't need another tutorial to save. You need to understand what makes the style work. Let's refine it together.

What we'll work on
Your session is built around two hairstyles or specific techniques chosen by you in advance, with personalized instruction tailored to your goals.

Together, we'll focus on:
Your goals: Identify the two styles you want to refine and the specific challenges you're experiencing with each.
The why behind the technique: Break down the sectioning, foundation, product choices, shape, and placement that make each style work.
Hands-on practice: Work through the styles alongside me, with real-time coaching and feedback as you go.
Troubleshooting: Learn to recognize what's not working, understand why, and adjust your technique instead of starting over or guessing.
Taking it with you: Leave with a better understanding of both styles and a clearer idea of what to focus on when practicing independently.

This session might not be the right fit if…

- You're brand-new to hairstyling and need to learn the fundamentals from scratch.

- You're looking for a broad introduction to bridal hairstyling rather than focused work on two specific looks.

- You prefer to watch a demonstration without practicing the techniques yourself.

This session is for you if…

- You already have experience with formal or bridal hairstyling but have two specific styles or techniques you want to improve.

- You've taken classes or watched tutorials but struggle to recreate certain looks independently.

- You want personalized, hands-on guidance rather than another demonstration to watch.

- You understand the basics but want to improve your foundation, shape, texture, placement, or finishing details.

- You're ready to troubleshoot what's holding you back and feel more confident offering these styles to your clients.

Two styles. More confidence. A better understanding of the why.

You know those hairstyles that look so beautiful when someone else creates them, but somehow never turn out quite the same when you try them yourself?

Maybe it's the foundation that won't hold, the shape that doesn't look quite right, or the little details that seem impossible to recreate no matter how many tutorials you watch. You've got the basics down. Now you want to understand the techniques that take your work from almost there to the result you've been trying to achieve.

The Refinement Session gives us five dedicated hours to work through two hairstyles or techniques of your choice. We'll break down the details, troubleshoot the tricky parts, and work side by side so you can understand not just what to do, but why it works.

This isn't about memorizing someone else's steps. It's about developing the skills and understanding to recreate the looks with more confidence on your own.

Both training days must take place within 14 days of each other.

Your four hairstyles will be discussed and confirmed before your intensive so we're on the same page about your goals and what we'll cover. We'll also make sure the selected looks are a good fit for your current skill level and the time available.

You don't have to know it all to become a great bridal stylist. You just need a solid foundation, room to practice, and someone to help you work through the why. Let's build that together.

What we'll work on
Across two five-hour training days, we'll work through four popular bridal hairstyles selected in advance, chosen to help you build versatility and strengthen your foundational techniques.

Together, we'll focus on:
Building your foundation: Understand how sectioning, prep, product choice, and structure affect the finished style.
Breaking down the looks: Learn the techniques behind each hairstyle and why we're approaching it the way we are.
Hands-on practice: Work through each style alongside me, with personalized instruction and feedback as you go.
Troubleshooting in real time: Work through the moments when something isn't clicking, so you can understand what's happening and how to adjust.
Connecting the techniques: Recognize how foundational skills carry across different hairstyles, helping you adapt rather than rely on memorized steps.
Building your confidence: Leave with a stronger technical foundation and a clearer path for continued practice and growth.

This intensive might not be the right fit if…

- You're completely new to hairstyling and haven't yet developed basic skills with hot tools, sectioning, teasing, and product application.

- You're already an experienced bridal stylist looking to perfect one or two specific styles. The Signature Session or Refinement Session may be a better fit.

- You're looking for a demonstration-only class where you watch someone else create the hairstyles.

This intensive is for you if…

- You've developed basic hairstyling skills and want to grow your confidence in bridal or formal hair.

- You've done some prom styling, a few weddings, or other formal styles but want more structure in your education.

- You want to strengthen your technique across several popular bridal looks rather than focus on just one or two.

- You sometimes struggle with sectioning, figuring out where to start, creating a solid foundation, building the right shape, or making a style hold.

- You've watched tutorials or attended demonstrations but need hands-on practice and personalized feedback to make the techniques click.

- You're ready to invest in your skills and build a stronger foundation for taking on more bridal clients.

Four styles. Stronger skills. Confidence that goes beyond the classroom.

You've done a few updos. Maybe you've styled hair for prom, taken a bridal class, or even worked a handful of weddings. You know you have the potential to do more with bridal hair, but sometimes you still find yourself second-guessing your technique, struggling to recreate a look, or wondering how other stylists make it all look so effortless.

You don't necessarily need another random tutorial or a class that leaves you inspired for a day but unsure what to do when you're back on your own. You need time to build your skills, understand the techniques behind the styles, and practice with someone there to guide you through the tricky parts.

The Deep Dive Intensive gives us two dedicated training days to work through four popular bridal hairstyles, with hands-on instruction tailored to your experience and goals. We'll break down the techniques, explore why certain foundations and methods work, and troubleshoot together as you practice.

The goal isn't just to leave with four hairstyles you've watched me create. It's to build a stronger understanding of bridal hairstyling so you can approach future styles with more knowledge, adaptability, and confidence.
Because when you understand the why behind the technique, you're better equipped to figure things out—even when a client's hair doesn't cooperate exactly as expected.

The Deep Dive

Apply now

Only taking THREE  students. Applications are open!

You don't have to walk into this mentorship knowing everything. You're here because you're still learning and that's a good thing.

You can ask the questions you think you should already know the answers to. You can try something, realize it isn't working, and try again. You can take your time understanding the technique instead of feeling like you have to get it right on the first attempt.

My job is to meet you where you are, share what I've learned, help you work through the tricky parts, and give you the tools to keep growing long after our eight weeks together.

You bring the willingness to learn and practice. I'll bring the guidance, honest feedback, and support.

Let's build the skills you need to become the bridal stylist you know you can be.

What we'll work on
Over eight weeks, we'll focus on developing your skills through hands-on training, guided practice, and personalized feedback.

Four private training sessions
We'll meet for four, five-hour sessions, scheduled approximately every other week. During each session, we'll work through two bridal hairstyles, breaking down the techniques and giving you time to practice alongside me.

Eight foundational bridal hairstyles
We'll follow a structured curriculum built around eight foundational hairstyles every bridal stylist should know how to create:
- Half-up
- Ponytail
- Low textured bun
- Sleek, polished bun
- Textured French twist
- Voluminous high bun
- Hollywood waves
- Bouncy blowout

Why these eight? Because the goal isn't to memorize eight finished hairstyles and call it a day. It's to understand the techniques and foundations behind them well enough to nail down the structure of each core hairstyle and then create your own variations.

You'll learn how to create each foundational style, understand why the techniques work, and recognize which elements you can adapt to achieve different looks.

By the end of our eight weeks, you'll have a stronger foundation in these eight core styles and, more importantly, a better understanding of how to customize them to meet your future clients' needs.

The goal is to learn the foundations well enough that you're no longer limited to recreating one exact look.

The why behind the work
We'll go beyond memorizing where to section, curl, tease, or pin. You'll learn how foundation, product choice, sectioning, shape, and placement work together and how to troubleshoot when something isn't turning out the way you expected.

Weekly practice and feedback
Your growth doesn't stop when you leave the studio. Between sessions, you'll have practice assignments and weekly email check-ins so you can put the techniques into action, share your progress, and receive my guidance on what to focus on next.

A midpoint Zoom check-in
We'll have one 30-minute Zoom check-in midway through the mentorship to talk through your progress, address questions and repeated issues, and make sure you're getting what you need from the experience.

Resources to support your growth
You'll receive a bridal hairstyling product knowledge guide, a roadmap for each style to understand the structure behind it and how to achieve it, a hair kit checklist to help you understand what belongs in your kit, what different products do, and how to make more intentional choices as you continue developing your skills.

This mentorship might not be the right fit if…

- You're completely new to hairstyling and haven't yet developed basic skills with hot tools, sectioning, teasing, and product application.

- You're looking for a quick class without homework, practice, or work between sessions.

- You want to watch me create hairstyles without actively practicing them yourself.

- You're expecting to master every bridal hairstyle in eight weeks. This mentorship is designed to build a strong foundation, improve your technique, and develop your confidence—not replace the ongoing practice that comes with experience. But will you have built confidence on HOW to create these 8 styles? YES.

- You're not in a place to commit to all four sessions and the practice required between them.

This mentorship is for you if…

- You're enrolled in cosmetology school, a recent graduate, or a stylist with foundational hairstyling training who wants to grow into bridal hair.

- You're comfortable with basic hairstyling techniques but need guidance applying them to bridal and formal looks.

- You want more than a one-day class and are ready for ongoing practice, feedback, and support.

- You learn best by doing, asking questions, making adjustments, and trying again with someone there to guide you.

- You want to understand why techniques work so you can adapt when a client's hair, texture, or desired style presents a challenge.

- You sometimes doubt your abilities or feel overwhelmed by how much there is to learn, and you'd benefit from having someone in your corner.

-You're ready to commit time between sessions to practicing, reviewing feedback, and developing your skills.

You don't have to figure it all out on your own.

You know you want to get into bridal hair. You love the creativity, the artistry, and the idea of helping someone feel beautiful on one of the biggest days of their life. But there's a lot you don't know yet.

Maybe you've finished cosmetology school, you're getting ready to graduate, or you're a stylist who's comfortable behind the chair but feels a little lost when it comes to formal styling. You want to take on bridal clients, but the thought of creating a beautiful, long-lasting style under the pressure of a wedding morning feels intimidating.

You've watched the tutorials. You've saved the inspiration photos. Maybe you've even tried recreating a few looks on your mannequin. But when you're working on your own, you're left wondering if you're sectioning correctly, why your foundation isn't holding, how to get that effortless-looking shape, or what to do when a style just isn't coming together. And sometimes, you don't even know what questions to ask.

You don't need someone to hand you a list of steps and send you on your way. You need someone who can work alongside you, explain the why behind the techniques, help you troubleshoot when things aren't clicking, and give you honest feedback as you grow.

That's what The Grounded Stylist is all about.
Over eight weeks, we'll work together through four private, hands-on training sessions, covering eight bridal hairstyles and the foundational techniques behind them. Between sessions, you'll have guided practice, feedback, and accountability to help you put what you've learned into action instead of leaving it all on the mannequin after class.

Think of me as the big sister you wish you had when you started: someone who's in your corner, willing to work through the tricky parts with you, and invested in helping you build skills you can trust.

The goal isn't to make you dependent on someone else's hands. It's to help you understand your own.

LAUREN'S RESULTS

Confidence level pre training:
5/10
Confidence level post training: 8/10

Struggles pre training:
Struggled with longevity of down styles, keeping face framing more swooped less pulled back, mother of the groom/bride with what they want vs what there hair actually is and connecting to give them what they would like in the end goal, big waves.

How confident do you feel about executing those styles now?
9 out of 10 and styles I was already fairly confident in have improved with using the techniques taught by Lisa

What have you learned the most from training with Lisa?
product knowledge for styles, executing all hair updos and down styles in the same routine so you keep a flow and make sure the style goes together smoothly without overthinking

I would recommend Lisa for training! She’s so fun to work with! I've gained more confidence, plus feels great to be back into the bridal business again!

Struggles pre training:
I felt less confident in my down styles/half ups

How confident do you feel about executing those styles now?
After training with Lisa I feel way more confident in my longevity and security of a down style then I ever have before! I've also been able to perfect the styles I already felt pretty good about, they're way more polished and easier to execute than before!

What have you learned the most from training with Lisa?
What I've taken most from her education has been product knowledge! After becoming more confident in when and why to use certain products I get more secure foundation and finished look. I'm no longer worrying about wondering if my clients style will last all day!

Lisa has given me more confidence all around. I know what I'm doing and how to do it. I know my work is good and I'm really able to charge more and feel confident in doing so!

Not your average hands-on class. Because watching it and doing it are two different things.

Ever taken a hairstyling class where everything made perfect sense during the demonstration, but the second you got back to your station to recreate it yourself, you couldn't quite remember what the educator did?

Or maybe you got stuck on one section, waited for the instructor to make their way around to you, and suddenly the class was over before you could even finish your hairstyle.

I've been there, too. And that's exactly why I want to approach this class a little differently.

Style Mastery is a four-hour, hands-on bridal hair workshop where we create the hairstyle together, step by step.

We'll start by breaking down the selected hairstyle, talking through the consultation, the overall structure, and the techniques we'll use to bring it to life.

Then, instead of sitting through a full demonstration and trying to remember everything afterward, we'll get straight into styling. TOGETHER.

I'll demonstrate and explain each technique as we go, giving you time to recreate it on your own mannequin/model before we move forward together. I'll be there to answer questions, help troubleshoot, and work through the tricky parts with you.

HERE'S HOW WE'LL LEARN TOGETHER

I demonstrate → You recreate → We troubleshoot → We move forward together.

And when something isn't clicking? We can stop, talk through it, and figure it out together rather than having everyone working on completely different parts of the hairstyle.

The goal is to give you the time and guidance to understand what you're doing while you're actually doing it.

What You'll Learn
- How to break down an inspiration photo and approach a bridal hair consultation
- How to plan your sectioning and build the foundation for the selected hairstyle
- Why certain techniques, products, and tools are used throughout the styling process
- How to create the shape, volume, and structure of the hairstyle
- How to recognize and troubleshoot common challenges as they happen
- How to refine the finishing details for a polished, long-lasting result
- How to properly pose and photograph your work

What to Expect

Introductions & Class Goals — 15 minutes
We'll get to know each other, talk about your team's goals, and discuss any challenges you'd like to work through.

Consultation & Style Breakdown — 30 minutes
We'll review the selected hairstyle, discuss consultation considerations, and break down the overall plan before we start styling.

Guided Hands-On Styling — 2 hours 45 minutes
We'll create the hairstyle together! I'll demonstrate each technique, explain the reasoning behind it, and give everyone time to recreate it on their own mannequin. We'll pause throughout to troubleshoot, answer questions, and make sure we're understanding each step before moving on.

Finishing, Photos & Q&A — 30 minutes
We'll refine our finished styles, capture photos, and talk through any lingering questions.

Who This Class Is For
Style Mastery is designed for salon teams with basic hairstyling experience who want to strengthen their bridal hair skills through guided, hands-on learning.

It's especially helpful for stylists who have attended demonstrations or watched tutorials but find themselves struggling to recreate the finished look independently.

Ever watched a bridal hairstyle come together and wondered why the stylist chose a certain technique, how they created that volume, or what made the finished look hold its shape?

Sometimes, the most valuable part of watching someone style isn't the finished hairstyle. It's understanding all the little decisions that went into creating it.

Style Expansion is a five-hour, demonstration-based bridal hair class designed to give your salon team a closer look at the techniques, foundations, and creative decisions behind two different bridal hairstyles.

Rather than focusing only on one style to recreate during class, you'll have the opportunity to watch TWO looks come together from start to finish while I explain what I'm doing, why I'm doing it, and how those techniques can be applied to other hairstyles.

We'll begin each demonstration with a consultation and style breakdown, discussing the inspiration, hair considerations, overall structure, and plan for bringing the look to life.

From there, I'll walk through the entire styling process, sharing my approach to sectioning, preparation, foundation building, product choices, shaping, and finishing details.

And this isn't a sit-quietly-and-take-notes kind of class! Questions are always welcome. If you're wondering why I did something a certain way or want to understand an alternative approach, let's talk about it! Want to see how I did that technique again? Let me show you!

The goal isn't to leave memorizing two hairstyles step by step. It's to leave with new techniques, a deeper understanding of bridal hairstyling, and ideas you can incorporate into your own work behind the chair.

What You'll Learn
- How to approach a bridal hair consultation and break down inspiration photos
- How to plan the sectioning, preparation, and foundation for two different hairstyles
- Why certain tools, products, and techniques are chosen throughout the styling process
- How to create volume, shape, structure, and durability
- How to adapt techniques for different hair types, lengths, and densities
- How to troubleshoot common styling challenges and make adjustments along the way
- How to refine finishing details for a polished, professional result
- How to properly pose and photograph your work

What to Expect

Introductions & Class Goals — 15 minutes
We'll get to know your team, discuss their experience, and talk about what they'd love to learn throughout the class.

Style 1: Consultation & Breakdown — 10 minutes
We'll review the first hairstyle, discuss the inspiration and hair considerations, and walk through the plan before styling begins.

Style 1: Live Demonstration — 2 hours
Watch the first hairstyle come together from start to finish as I explain the techniques, products, tools, and decisions behind each step. Questions are encouraged throughout!

Photos & Q&A — 15 minutes
Time to capture photos and videos of the finished hairstyle and revisit anything you'd like to discuss.

Style 2: Consultation & Breakdown — 10 minutes
We'll move into our second hairstyle, breaking down the inspiration, overall structure, and styling approach.

Who This Class Is For
Style Expansion is ideal for salon teams who want to broaden their bridal hairstyling knowledge, explore new techniques, and gain insight into the creative process behind different styles.

It's especially helpful for stylists who enjoy learning through observation, want to expand the range of looks they offer, or aren't quite ready to commit to a hands-on workshop.
